Don’t take this seriously. It may be (is) incorrect. Just my unedited notes

Introduction

How to invest in stocks regularly, relatively small amounts of money, with as little fees, for a relatively long time.

Choosing a broker

Do not want to pay almost any yearly/monthly fee (<0.1% ok), especially if it would be a percentage of my investment – not looking for a fund.

Want to buy mainly large ETFs.

It is possible the investment will be for 10s of years.

I want to invest from ~1k USD/month to ~10k USD.

Spread is not as important for me, as it’s a long-term investment I expect (hope) to grow ~10% a year on average.

Brokers

In the end, I consider XTB and Trading 212, as they are user-friendly (to get into and to use), without high fees, and without minimum thresholds to invest. Both have funds insured to about 20k EUR. Might use both

Other things to consider

Conversion rate - XTB converts currencies with a 0.5% fee, Trading 212 with a 0.15%.

Might use Revolut, which is free for up to 25k CZK per rolling month.

Whether the ETF is distributive (pays out dividends) or accumulative (reinvests them).

ETFs

I mainly invest in S&P 500.

I chose “iShares Core S&P 500 UCITS ETF USD (Acc)” (SXR8.DE), a large ETF in EUR, tracking the S&P 500 index.

“Investment Strategy”

Since IDK anything about the stock market, I just want to invest into some tracker of global/US economy (in my case, this is S&P 500), I invest without a regard for the price every X weeks/months a certain amount.
